We are very well equipped to deliver quality, comprehensive PAT Testing Training Courses at a price that’s right due to our years of PAT Testing experience at companies just like yours.
‘PAT Testing’ is a made up name, but is used to define how to check whether your electrical equipment is safe to use, thus helping to prevent incidents and accidents in the workplace.
Portable Appliance Testing is not a legal requirement, but it is a convenient way of helping employers meet their obligations under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
To PAT Test correctly you need to be a competent person with relevant training and experience in the role.
Effective ‘tutor lead’ training is the most effective way of learning the role, but your training must be delivered by suitably qualified and experienced Instructors.
Has someone told you that PAT Testing is all about plugging an appliance into a test device and pressing buttons - the machine tells you if it’s passed or failed?
There’s a lot more too it than that. What about the Environment Check, the Formal Visual Inspection, the Function Check, the Risk Assessment?
Whilst commonsense forms a major part of PAT testing, you do need a level of technical knowledge.
Should you pass the course, you won’t be an expert straight away - you will need to practice to become competent in the role.
Our training course and training notes will help you build on your new skills and improve your understanding.
PAT Testing equipment comes in all shapes and sizes, with different numbers of features. Some PAT devices are classed as ‘PAT Checkers’ and some are ‘PAT Testers’, and with prices ranging from a few hundred pounds to well into the thousands, it’s difficult to know which one to buy.
We can help with your decision.
